My Counselling practice began in 1997 with full NZAC membership in 1998. My qualifications include being a Registered Psychopaedic Nurse (1989), a Certificate in Counselling (1997), Diploma in Counselling with Merit (2002), and Master of Professional Practice in Councelling with Distinction (2015).
My career has involved a depth of experience in supporting wellbeing across the lifespan with individual adult, teen and child work. I have a strong interest in divergent thinkers and brain injury. My private practice is in East Auckland.
Client Centred Counselling is my base however, I also offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Sand Tray work.
I’m currently exploring Somatic approaches to recovery from past traumas through body scans, grounding techniques and somatic yoga.
I offer Supervision for Counsellors seeking an experienced clinician who works across the lifespan with a wide range of modalities.
In my spare time I enjoy cycling, being with family and friends and am a lifelong meditator. I also devote some of my time each week to project management and communications roles within a community charitable trust.
