This delightful short book will really help people with an intellectual disability understand the basic differences between public and private behaviour norms.
The language is basic, the illustrations colourful and a delight and the message is very clear.
Big bold print makes for an easy read while the expressions on people’s faces compliment the text well.
The story is told in the first person within the family situation; which helps to put a potentially difficult subject into an acceptable comfort zone. At the end John talks about personal space and uses a relationship rainbow to illustrate and explain this concept.
Well done John, this will be a useful addition to the IHC library.
